Find out more about Artist Village at www.artistvillage.co.uk
Artist Village is a sculptural exhibition launching at Village Green, asking artists to step away from traditional white cube setting & create artwork for a more challenging, less hierarchical context of a public park & community festival. Participating artists are Chloe Brooks, Ali Eisa, Brian Griffiths & Milly Peck. After spending one week in residence at Metal’s Chalkwell Hall, each artist is developing sculptural responses to the town based on their artistic interests.
The rooftop spaces at Peckham Multi-Storey Car Park in London are home to not-for-profit Bold Tendencies, an organisation who commission site-specific art & produce an ambitious live events programme of orchestral music, opera, dance & literature.
