Ticket terms and conditions

Tickets are issued subject to the following strict terms and conditions, which the Event Organiser asks that you please ensure you read and in particular ensure you are aware of the items which cannot be brought onto the Event Site which this year includes alcohol (see 8 below). Please help us avoid delays at the entrance gates by adhering to the terms and conditions below. The Event Organiser reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at its discretion.

1. Definitions

“Event Organiser” means Metal Culture Limited

“Event” means ‘Village Green’ to be held on Saturday 13th July 2019

“Event Site” means that part of Chalkwell Park closed for the Event

“Agent” means Skiddle Limited the authorised agent appointed by the Event Organiser to sell tickets for the Event

2. General

2.1 These terms and conditions incorporate and should be read together with our Agents terms and conditions of supply of tickets which you can see on their website. www.skiddle.com

2.2 The Event Organiser reserves the right to cancel the event at any stage if deemed necessary in their opinion, or if circumstances arise outside their control.

2.3 The Event is an outdoor event. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing. No refunds will be given due to inclement weather.

2.4 Artists and the billed entertainment programme may be altered or changed at any time and without prior notification.


2.5 The Event Organiser cannot be held responsible or liable in any way for any views expressed or offensive language used by any artist.


2.6 Should the Event be cancelled or the artist line up or other billed entertainment be changed, the Event Organiser will not be liable for the payment of any compensation or for the loss of money and/or expenses incurred. In the event of cancellation of the entire event only the face value of the ticket will be refunded. Applications for refunds should be obtained via the point of purchase and requested no later than three months after the event.

2.7 Ticket holders give their express consent to their actual or simulated likeness being included, for no fee, within any audio or visual recording to be exploited in any and all media for any purpose at any time throughout the world, the copyright to which shall be owned by the Event Organiser or its contractors. If you attend the Event with a child aged less than 18 years then you give the Event Organiser consent on their behalf. This includes filming by the police or security staff that may be carried out for the security of customers and/or the prevention of crime.

2.8 No trading or other commercial activity or distribution of leaflets by any ticket holder is allowed within the Event Site without the Event Organiser’s prior written consent.

2.9 Chairs - One folding chair or shooting stick is permitted on the Event Site per person. Chairs will not be permitted with an area in front of the ‘Village Green Stage’ so as to allow better viewing of this stage. This area will be clearly defined

3. Tickets

3.1 Tickets are non-transferrable and only valid when purchased from Skiddle Limited.

3.2 Tickets purchased from unauthorised sources will be rendered invalid and refused admission.

3.3 Tickets cannot be offered as part of any marketing, promotional, sales or media purpose by any individual, company or organisation without the prior written consent of the Event Organiser.

3.4 Tickets must be presented, in full, on entry to the Event Site and will be scanned to check validity. Proof of age may be requested upon entry. Tickets remain the property of Skiddle Limited.

3.5 The Event Organiser will not issue duplicate tickets for lost or stolen tickets. Any queries must be taken up with Skiddle Limited.

3.6 You are responsible for your ticket until it is scanned and should retain it at all times during the Event.

4. Refunds

5. Age Policy

5.1 Under 11’s (10 years and under) are admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.

5.2 Alcohol will be on sale within the Event Site. No alcohol may be purchased or consumed by those under the age of 18. If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25 you may be asked to prove your age. The only accepted forms of ID will be a photo card driving licence issued by the DVLA, passport, or a proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram e.g. Citizen Card or Validate UK Card. No photocopies of any of the listed forms of ID will be permitted. Security staff will patrol the Event site to prevent anybody under the age of 18 attempting to consume alcohol.

5.3 We reserve the right to refuse to serve you alcohol if, in our reasonable opinion, we believe that you are intoxicated or likely to become intoxicated if we serve you further alcoholic beverages.

6. Security

6.1 The Event Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to and/or eject from the Event Site or report to the Police any person, in particular but without limitation, for any of the following reasons: -

o for health and safety or licensing reasons

o for causing damage to the event site or infrastructure

o for behaving in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the Event

o for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms

o for appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs

o for being in possession of drugs including new psychoactive substances formerly so called ‘legal highs’. The Psychoactive Substances Act 2016 could result in penalties for possession or supply.

o for being in possession of illegal items or carry out illegal activity

o for being in possession of metal knives this includes corkscrews, cheese and bread knives or any cutlery, laser devices or similar items or any other dangerous or hazardous items

o for refusing to allow any bag or any other permitted item you wish to bring into the Event Site to be searched or complying with any other security requirements.

o for failing, when required, to produce proof of identity or age

o for being in breach of any of these Terms and Conditions.

No refunds will be given to any person refused entry or ejected from the Event Site


6.2 As stated, all persons entering the Event Site will be searched (including all bags) or when leaving.  This is part of our enhanced security measures put in place this year, working closely with the authorities.  More information HERE.

6.3 CCTV images will be monitored throughout the Event Site for public safety and the prevention of crime.

7. Damages and losses

7.1 The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expenses or injuries sustained at the event other than those caused by the Organisers negligent act or omission.

8. Prohibited items

8.1 The following articles are not permitted within the Event Site: -

o • No alcoholic drinks may be brought into the Event Site. Bag searches will be in operation at the entrance gates and any alcohol found will be confiscated. You may bring water and soft drinks but they must be in sealed plastic bottles or unopened cartons (empty refillable bottles are fine)

o Glass items this includes bottles, dishes and drinking vessels etc.

o Barbeques, gas cylinders, flaming torches, fireworks, smoke or gas canister’s (including aerosols and nitrous oxide) Chinese lanterns, megaphones, air horns

o Golf umbrellas (or other large umbrellas), picnic tables etc.

o Metal knives this includes corkscrews, cheese and bread knives or any cutlery

o Laser devices or similar items or any other dangerous or hazardous items

o Inappropriate signs or branded items

o Any other item, which may compromise public safety - please see the poster above

Please note: -

o Anyone resisting the confiscation of disallowed items or disregarding these conditions will be refused entry to the Event Site.

o Security staff will patrol the Event Site and any person found in possession of such items and who declines to agree to their confiscation will face eviction from the Event Site.

o Any confiscated items will be disposed of.

9. Fire and your safety

9.1 It is against the law to smoke in enclosed spaces; this includes the marquees and tents on the Event Site.

9.2 Prolonged exposure to loud noise may cause damage to your hearing.

9.3 Pyrotechnics, smoke effects, strobe lighting/special effects or lasers may be in use at the Event.

10. Disposal of rubbish

10.1 The Event Organiser subscribe to the ‘leave no trace’ philosophy and as such would ask you to treat the Event Site with respect during your visit and dispose of all rubbish created by you responsibly, so please use the waste bins and recycling points on the Event Site.

11. Animals

11.1 No animals, other than assistance dogs, are permitted on the Event Site

12. Data Protection

12.1 To the extent permitted by law, personal information provided by you when you purchase a ticket will be used for all purposes reasonably connected with the operations of the Event Organiser. This includes, but is not limited to, providing you with details of forthcoming events promoted by the Event Organiser (if you ticked the relevant box); offers and services; conducting market research and establishing customer profiles; and transferring or disclosing the information provided to our professional advisors and such other parties as we consider necessary in the administration of its business. We will not use or disclose your personal information other than as stated without your prior consent. We never sell or pass on information to third parties for marketing purposes. By purchasing a ticket you consent to the use of your personal information in this way. You will be given the opportunity to unsubscribe to future marketing communications in all future communications, which you receive from us. 13. Leaving the event site

13.1 You can leave the Event Site at any time but if you wish to gain re-entry then you must obtain a wristband before leaving at the exit gate and produce it on your return. To gain re-entry you will have to re-join the entry queues.

13.2 Finally, please leave the Event quietly in consideration for our neighbours.
