Thank you for joining us at Village Green 2017

We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved and all of our 16,500 revellers who came to Village Green festival 2017 last Saturday, enjoying, among others, the sounds of Nothing But Thieves playing their hometown gig.

The new layout for the festival worked really well as crowds spread comfortably across the park, enjoying seven music stages – with indie, jazz, country, blues, punk and world music all represented alongside a whole other stage devoted to young singer songwriters performing original material with the youngest performer being just 12 years old.

But it wasn’t all about the music, a new stage devoted to comedy, food and politics drew huge crowds; games played across the whole site got strangers talking to each other, workshops encouraged the making of all kinds of things from positive protest placards, screen printing, nail art and lots more.

Suspects, who rocked the Idea13 stage, said, "What a phenomenal festival. There was such a great vibe at this year’s Village Green. Everyone was loving it. To us it felt like a real community festival, was easy to move about it in and fluid. Our highlights were Nothing But Thieves who were charismatic and still so humble despite their massive success. The Idea13 stage was packed and charged the whole afternoon with a real connection between the acts and the audience. For us it was really great to share the stage with the Cool Thing Records family".
