Heidi Heidelberg - GLOBAL VILLAGE

Heidi Heidelberg is an anarchic soprano, an improviser, musician and a composer, bringing together classical coloratura, jazz scat, beatbox and rock vocal influences.

She recently won the infamous Nonclassical 'Battle of the Bands' contest and was a selected participant in Serious' prestigious 'Take Five' professional development programme Edition X.

A gutsy electric guitarist and master of the loop pedal she has written music for award-winning films and theatre, and collaborated with a number of innovative artists.

HEIDI WILL APPEAR AS PART OF THE GLOBAL VILLAGE LINE-UP

WOMAD Foundation are supporting the Next Generation Schools Day on Friday 7th July at Chalkwell Park prior to Village Green Festival. Lead artists Mim Suleiman, Ripton Lindsay, Mauricio Velasierra , Heidi Heidelberg and Abbas Dodoo will be performing with Essex based BAME artists and have an international reputation for sharing their music/dance through performance and participatory workshops has part of the Global Essex. The artists will be performing at Next Generation and at Village Green over the two days.
