Mim Suleiman - GLOBAL VILLAGE

International force of nature from exotic Zanzibar...

Mim Suleiman from Zanzibar is a versatile performer and vocal tutor. Performing internationally, her music reaches across the spectrum but always connecting to her African heritage. Her charismatic performance will explore African traditions and folklore from Zanzibar.

Mim Suleiman was born in Pemba island. The second largest island in the Zanzibar Archipelago lying off the coast of East Africa in the Indian Ocean. She spent most of her early school years in Stone Town, Shangani, playing on the same streets as Freddie Mercury once did. Now, Suleiman uses that mix to push audiences outside their comfort zone.
