Nu-Urban Gardeners

Nu-Urban Gardeners is a live art organisation that is inspired by a love of land and landscapes and the spirit of Cabaret Voltaire. For seven years it was duo (Chris Lewis-Jones and Simon Withers) but the NUGs is now a stable of artists that includes a choreographers, 3D designers, photographers, musicians, a horticulturist and a nutritionist. The NUGs have created installations, presented costumed interventions and performances and facilitated workshops at venues as diverse as Tate Britain, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Newstead Abbey, Nottingham Contemporary, Tattershall Castle, The Fens and the Peak District.
