Since winning the ‘Rising star’ British Jazz Award in 2002 Steve has now gained global recognition as a soloist. His latest album ‘In the Empire State’ recorded in New York (where else?) in 2016 achieved five-star reviews and American trumpet icon Wynton Marsalis has said of Steve: ‘I can’t think of another trumpeter who can do what he does!’.
