TJCUK Jazz Cafe at the Chalkwell Park Rooms

This new stage will present live music by regional, national and international jazz stars throughout the day. It will also celebrate the work of The Jazz Centre UK based in Southend’s Beecroft Gallery (open Tues-Sat from 10am-4.30pm).

The Centre, which is the first of its kind in Britain, hosts a jazz heritage room, a research library, full performance facilities, and a media centre for films and the enjoyment of over 6500 vintage vinyl albums.

At Village Green, they will present the following programme:

Harrison Dolphin Trio plus HEADLINER Simon Spillett
HEADLINER Daryl Sherman and Digby Fairweather
Evening Jazz Jam - All who have performed throughout the day are welcome to come on stage for an all-in final jazz-jam performance.
