Village Green - Inkhead

Wallis Eates is an autobiographical and collaborative comics artist. Shortlisted for the Myriad Editions First Graphic Novel Award in 2014 for her childhood memoir, 'Mumoirs', she went on to self-publish the spin-off version, 'Fear of Mum-Death and the Shadow Men' which was nominated for Broken Frontier's 'Best One Shot' award in 2016. Her most recent project was as Artist-in-Residence at her local boxing club, Double Jab, in New Cross, South London, producing a comic about its members and 'Jab Don't Stab' motto.

Wallis is now crowdfunding through Unbound books to publish 'Like an Orange', a collection of comics about the brain injury survivors she met at the charity Headway, which will incorporate their own art work.

She’ll be presenting her work as part of Inkhead project at Village Green.
